Bolt & Mini - MOCA & Ethernet setup | TiVo Community Forum
Jan 11, 2017 · A MoCA network can consist of any mix of MoCA 1.1, standard MoCA 2.0 and extended/bonded MoCA 2.0 nodes; many MoCA 1.0 devices will likely bring your MoCA network to its knees, so stick with the later specs. MoCA is a point-to-point technology, and two MoCA nodes will communicate with each other at the highest MoCA spec supported by both nodes.
Combining MoCA and OTA signal Question w/ Diagram
Jul 16, 2015 · A MoCA filter is needed to block the MoCA signals before heading up the antenna coax, and a diplexer would effectively provide the necessary MoCA signal filtering, connected as described above.
some hints on using Motorola MM1000 and MM1025 MoCA …
Jun 6, 2023 · When I use a different access point connected by MoCA (between the two MM1025 adapters) to Ethernet and then to the cable modem I only get about 120 mb/s on Speedtest. Perhaps this is because I still have another Roamio (which is MoCA 1.1) sitting out there on MoCA. This shouldn't matter since MoCA is theoretically point to point.
What could cause MOCA to suddenly fail after 6 years?
Nov 29, 2018 · A good starting point (though a more sizable task given your quantity of boxes) is a full power reset: powering everything down, wait a few minutes, then bring the devices up, in order (modem, router, switches, bridge, Ethernet-connected boxes, MoCA-connected boxes), making sure each device is operational before moving to the next.
Moca 2.5 - TiVo Community Forum
May 8, 2019 · By the way, I checked the spec sheet, the Moca Soc is MaxLinear MxL3710. Looks like the MxL3710 is the only certified MOCA 2.5 product from mocalliance.org. I wonder if the "Vendor Only" Moca 2.5 Actiontecs are using the same SOC.
Optimum MoCA tx/rx power? - TiVo Community Forum
Dec 21, 2017 · A MoCA receiver can only see the combined signal, and the relative phase of those two portions will determine whether they add constructively or destructively. The net loss will have a magnitude in dB than ranges anywhere from the sum of the two dB values to the difference between the two dB values, depending on the relative phases.
MoCA vs Ethernet - TiVo Community Forum
Mar 24, 2017 · I think I have answer from reading other threads, but just want to ask outright: Is Ethernet better for Mini network, rather than using MoCA? Thanks.

Because a lot of people are new to MoCA, hopefully this quick and dirty setup information will help answer...
Spectrum and MOCA - TiVo Community Forum
Nov 22, 2022 · My daughter has Spectrum 400 internet and I setup her Tivo and mini about 8 years ago using MOCA and put a filter at the entry point in the cable box outside. Last week her internet was down and I stopped by and checked the Modem and router and doing speed test I would get about 4mb only. I...
Mesh WiFi or MoCA? | TiVo Community Forum
Nov 20, 2018 · Bonded MoCA 2.0 would probably be faster than Wi-Fi, but MoCA 1.1 would definitely not be. Using MoCA for Wi-Fi mesh satellites is WAY over complicating that is necessary, and while it theoretically could improve throughput somewhat, it is much more likely to cause troubleshooting and reliability issues.
