The Mob Piru (also known as MOB Piru, East Side Mob Piru, Insane Mob Gang or Mob Piru Bloods) are a "set" of the Piru gang alliance and a criminal organization, which is itself part of the larger Bloods alliance. [2]

There are fifteen known Piru sets in the Greater Los Angeles area. The Pirus is an umbrella street gang alliance (under the larger alliance, Bloods) based out of Compton, California which spread to Carson, Inglewood and Watts. The name "Piru" is derived from Piru Street in Compton.

The “Super-Gangs” within the Bloods include the 793, G-shine, Brick City Brims, 464 Mob Insane Mob Piru, 662 MOB Piru, 252 SMM, and Double II sets. Criminal intelligence developed by Task Force detectives has indicated that there are a number of conflicts between rival Bloods sets.
