The Model 1892 revolver (also known as the "Lebel revolver" and the "St. Etienne 8mm") is a French service revolver produced by Manufacture d'armes de Saint-Étienne as a replacement for the MAS 1873 revolver.

The Mle 1892 replaced the Chamelot-Delvigne Model 1873 revolver upon its introduction and became the standard military sidearm for French forces until several years after World War I. It continued in French service for over half a century.

It was made in 1912 by Manufacture d'armes de Saint-Etienne. It is not an import and was likely brought home as a trophy weapon from either WW1 or WW2.

This St. Etienne Model Trophy 1892 DA/SA revolver in 8MM Lebel is in very good condition. The blued barrel, cylinder and frame are very good with only minor surface pitting. The blued 4 5/8" barrel is very good with sharp clear rifling in its bore.

The Mle 1892 is a mechanically tight, accurate and very well finished revolver. It can be fired single-action by cocking the hammer first or by double-action by a full trigger pull. Its downside is the relative weakness, for a military handgun, of its 8×27mm ammunition.
