Dec 20, 2010 · In May 2002, USSOCOM removed the Mk12 and other complete weapons projects from the SOPMOD Program and placed them under the newly-formed USSOCOM Weapons Program. The fielded weapons included two versions (Mk12 Special Purpose Rifle Mod0 and Mod1). Fielding has since been structured for Mk12 Mod1 Special Purpose Rifle only.

Feb 7, 2011 · I think if the rifle has the defining characteristics of a Mk12 - handguards, SWAN Sleeve, optics / mounts, and especially the muzzle brake and collar, suppressor - it belongs here. We all know how expensive these builds are; many of us simply can't afford the higher-end Night Force or Leupold glass, or the OPS suppressor.

Google led me to page 1 on this thread where someone asks what the gas port size is, but it seems like it went unanswered. I have some actual Mk12 take-off barrels, but I don't have any pin gauges to get an accurate measurement of the gas port.
