The Mechanised Infantry Vehicle (MIV) is the British Army's concept of an 8 × 8 wheeled vehicle. In March 2018 the United Kingdom rejoined the Boxer (armoured fighting vehicle) programme in order to move to an assessment phase, which may see the Boxer selected.

Oct 1, 2024 · The army is getting Boxer MIV which is now going to replace Warrior IFV, a totally different vehicle type. The world has gone crazy but the decision was made well over 3 years ago. Any different decision to get IFVs back will cost a fortune and would never be funded.

Feb 3, 2022 · In the presence of Alister Jack, Secretary of State for Scotland, Thales in Glasgow signed a £90m subcontract to deliver next generation armoured vehicle sights for the British Army’s upgraded Challenger 3 Main Battle Tank (MBT).

CR3 programme will upgrade 148 of our existing CR2 MBTs with a digitalised turret, a more capable 120mm smoothbore gun with enhanced munitions, upgraded sights and enhanced survivability based upgraded armour and other survivability enhancements.
