The Dassault Mirage 5 is a French supersonic attack aircraft / fighter-bomber designed by Dassault Aviation during the 1960s and manufactured in France and other countries. It was derived from Dassault's popular Mirage III fighter and spawned several variants of its own, including the IAI Kfir.

Aug 13, 2018 · The Mirage 50DC was a trio of two-seat trainer-minded aircraft built for the Chilean Air Force and fitted with down-rated Atar 9C-3 engines. The Chilean Air Force aircraft came from both existing stocks of fighters as well as new-build aircraft.

Fit of this engine led to the next Mirage variant, the Mirage 50. The uprated engine gave the Mirage 50 better take-off, climb and acceleration characteristics, and better sustained turn rates than its predecessors.
