Feb 23, 2012 · The only grains I can get at my feed store are milo, oats, wheat and corn. I would like to use as much of the other grains as I can so I don't have to use as much/any corn, but wasn't sure how good milo is as a feed for goats. They also have soybean meal and soybean hull pellets. I am hoping to end up with a 16% feed if that is possible.

Jun 29, 2010 · I have used milo in a grain mix for goats and chickens. I did have a little trouble with the goats passing the milo undigested sometimes. But the chickens love it. Also the milo I get is always fresh. i have never had trouble with musty or moldy milo like I have with corn and barley.

Apr 2, 2009 · Okay, need lots of input.We are milking a doe who is also raising her own kids(2).She was wormed the day she kidded 2 weeks ago today.We were told to feed 1lb. of grain which is oats, barley,sunflower seeds,milo and 1 and a half lbs. of alfalfa pellets and all the hay she can eat. The wormer was Quest.She seems to be losing weight.

Aug 1, 2008 · Lori Acton lost a nice batch of does to bad corn in a feed mixture - still negotiating with the feed company about the bad feed. My friend (the one with exclusive barley now) lost one doe and had 3 very ill does last summer when they added a bit of this feed COB and turns out it was the same company that supplied Lori with her feed.
