Sep 16, 2009 · QFT. Milliput reduces the memory of GS and makes it easier to sculpt small, sharp details, and to 'dry sculpt'; while GS holds the milliput together - makes the uncured stuff less crumbly and reduces the sometimes-problematic solubility.

May 15, 2009 · I've seen Milliput at Hobby Lobby, too, just a month or so ago. And yes, greenstuff, brownstuff, ProCreate and Apoxie Sculpt all store better for longer periods of time if you keep them airtight in the freezer. All these are good-quality and freeze/thaw stable. I don't know for sure about Milliput, since I haven't used it.

Jul 13, 2013 · When cured Milliput is rock hard and works great when being sanded or filed. However, the dust from Milliput is toxic, so you will need a dust collection system and a good particulate filter mask i. e. a respirator with 3m filters on it, not just a cheapie dust mask. GS and procreate are both soft putties.

It still seems to mix correctly, though it does seem to take a bit to set. Is this a known issue, has the batch gone bad, have I done something wrong?

Jan 25, 2005 · For filling in cracks or gaps, if the figure is already pinned and the joint is stable, I'd also recommend PC-7 epoxy paste. It goes into cracks great. Not as stiff as GS or Milliput so it really gets into those nooks and crannies. Good for basing too. It's got a fairly long work time, can be smoothed with water.

Mar 24, 2013 · Milliput, Apoxie Sculpt and Magic Sculpt are not particularly sticky, can be sculpted but not as finely, and cure hard so they're easy to carve or sand. Once cured, they're on something solid, they just don't stick to things as gummily as Green Stuff when freshly mixed.

Jul 6, 2003 · Milliput is a bit grainier, but IIRC, it has an aluminum component, which makes it rock hard, and thus sandable, sawable and scrapable. I used to use combinations of milliput and green stuff to get hard-edged effects. Now, I often use the newer brown stuff from PSI mixed with the green for a similar effect.
