Each Pokémon that is paired with Hatsune Miku has themes associated with Miku, namely music, singing, software (in Rotom and Miraidon's case), or leeks (in Sirfetch'd's case).

The songs featured Hatsune Miku and other Piapro Characters, and most sampled background music and sound effects from the core series Pokémon games. The scope of the project later expanded to include 20 different Vocaloid producers and 20 unique songs.
