Mikkeller is a Danish world-renowned Copenhagen based craft brewery founded by school teacher Mikkel Borg Bjergsø. It is first and foremost about beer; showcasing all possible styles and ingredients, but the company also operate bars and restaurants around the world, host beer festivals and have a huge running club.

We are proud to open our first location in Switzerland, bringing Mikkeller to the heart of Zurich. Located on a charming street near the city center, the bar is set in a classic Zurich building that perfectly captures the city’s unmistakable character and charm.

Mikkeller is first and foremost beer. Showcasing all possible styles and ingredients, this is a universe whose endless possibilities include hops, malt, barrel aging, spontaneous fermentation, coffee, passion fruit, cherries, chilli, yuzu, chocolate and more.

Mikkeller is the story of a young, beer-loving math and physics teacher who began experimenting with hops, malt, and yeast in a small kitchen in Vesterbro, Copenhagen, in 2003. Today, Mikkel Bjergsø and Mikkeller export beer to 40 countries worldwide and operate just as many bars, restaurants, and beer shops.

Shore's playful illustrations became Mikkeller's visual identity, propelling the company's international recognition. With influences from esteemed artists like Matisse and Hockney, Shore's art adorned thousands of labels and illustrations.

At Mikkeller Færgekroen, we serve classic Danish dishes prepared with care and quality local ingredients. The menu features everything from house-made liver pâté and crispy fish fillet to hearty schnitzel and slow-roasted ribbensteg from Grambogård.
