May 15, 2020 · Midgar is divided up into nine sectors: Sector 0 in the centre, then Sectors 1 to 8 surrounding it. Between each sector is a Mako reactor. Each sector has two parts to it as well, the upper plate, the richer society lives up there, and the slums, which is below the plate and is where the poorer residents of Midgar live.

Sector 8 - Partly Seen at begining and end You can get a key to Midgar later in the game from Bone Village. You'd think then Square would alow use to see the unexplored sectors, but alas no.
