Dec 16, 2008 · Hi Auguren, To my understanding, it means 40-45. If you want to express the period between 40 and 50 years age you just say "40s", in the same way I would say "in your mid to late 40s" to express 45-50.

Jun 4, 2013 · Another friend of Dorothy here. He's a doll (to mean attractive) is a bit 1980s and earlier. You hear it rarely these days, but certainly it is still understood. Some of my friends in their 40s and early 50s say it in moments of extreme feyness. I agree that in a non-gay context JustKate's definition of "nice" is exactly correct.
