Mia holds its collection in public trust. As stewards of these artworks, we follow core standards set by the larger museum community to responsibly preserve, document, and exhibit them, ensuring they remain in good condition and are accessible to the public for generations to come.

Presented by the Friends, this year’s four-day festival takes place April 24–27, 2025. Free and open to everyone, Art in Bloom showcases imaginative floral interpretations of selected works of art from Mia’s permanent collection, created by more than 100 individual and commercial florists.

You’ll find self-guided group activities with photos of Mia artworks, scavenger hunts, and a variety of worksheets that use Mia’s collection as a starting point for new learning.
