Even though most of the discussion was cartoon related, he mentioned that things are still working well ratings wise for METV and that there won't be any major changes unless they feel a new program or schedule change can bring significant increases.

May 9, 2024 · According to an Xfinity Community Forum post from June 1, 2024, whether the MeTV Toons channel is available on Xfinity depends on whether a local TV station has an agreement to carry it. If the station adds the channel to a new subchannel, it can take time for Comcast to add it to the signal.

Oct 3, 2024 · WHCT-LD TV in Hartford, Connecticut is a free to view, over-the-air TV station, which carries MeTV on its main 35.1 digital channel, so why do we have to pay extra to watch a FREE to view broadcast station such as MeTV??

Jan 1, 2024 · MeTV is a broadcast network carried by a local TV station. As long as that station remains affiliated with MeTV, and Comcast has an agreement with that station, it should remain. It's also available on many streaming services, including the very low cost Frndly TV. FETV is a cable network, and there is a growing disagreement about carriage costs.

Feb 1, 2020 · METV was a substation of KTVD/KUSA and they dropped METV. I think this is out of Comcast's control and the channel is no longer available via OTA as well. Complaints should probably go to KUSA as they dropped it.

Sep 2, 2022 · In the Portland, Or area, we received a banner in August stating that KATU TV would stop sponsoring MeTV, effective 1 September. No other explanation. I did some digging, including going to MeTV's website. They referred me to FRNDLY (wrong timezone), or OTA (possible, but I'm not putting a retro antenna back on my roof for one show).

As of about 2215 on 7/18/2024, while watching, MeTV channel 117 froze up and stopped working. The SD version (channel 15) also not available. The MeTV+ channel same issue. All other channels working. Not able to stream channel 117 or 15 either. I assume KFFV (MeTV in Seattle area) has been removed from the Xfinity lineup, but cannot confirm.

On May 9, 2022, WDME HD (MeTV) and three additional channels (Story TV, DECADES, and MeTV+) will launch in the Washington, DC Designated Market Area (DMA). WDME is a new broadcaster serving the Washington, DC DMA. Additionallyon May 9th, WTTG-MeTV will be replaced by WTTG-Start TV in Standard definition format.

Jun 21, 2024 · MeTV Toons is a BROADCAST network carried by a LOCAL TV station. Comcast cannot add it directly. IF a local station will be carrying it, then it depends on the retransmission agreement with that station. If it's replacing an existing network on a channel Comcast already carries, then it will probably be carried by Comcast.
