Jul 6, 2021 · Check the US Metric Association website for their training aids. They have very nice 20 cm astronomy rulers and temperature rulers, as well as some others available in other sizes. NIST (US Department of Commerce-Metric Programs Office), also has free rulers available as part of package of classroom teaching supplies.

Nov 11, 2015 · I looked at all my metric rulers and I am completely indifferent as to whether the numbered lines are marked in centimeters or multiples of 10 mm. The only metric ruler I really dislike is one in which all 9 intermediate lines are all the same (short) length, instead of the line representing 5 mm being a medium length line. It is hard to read to the millimeter.

With imperial, you have inches and feet and it's the same on every ruler. Then you have different sizes of lines to indicate the fractions, again the same on every ruler (though some may actually label the lines). With metric, it feels like it's all over the place. On my PEC ruler, it labels every 10 mm, so it goes 10, 20, 30... 100, 110, etc.
