If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Many times Metamucil (psyllium wafers) is taken on an as needed basis.

Within 2 days of starting Metamucil, I began having muscle pain throughout my whole body. I could barely use my hands because of the pain in my forearms and hands. My feet and legs began hurting, it hurt to walk. Stopped the Metamucil for 2 weeks as suggested by my primary doctor. Pain began to ease off, but constipation returned.
