Mesprit is a roaming legendary, like Cresselia. It’s nature, IVs, shininess are only set 1) when you first trigger its roaming, in the cave 2) after you knock it out, defeat the E4 and re-encounter it again in the wild.

Sure, Mesprit gets the BoltBeam combo, but that's more effective coming off a Modest nature if you ask me. Others my have different opinions on Mesprit given it's stats. Uxie: Bold/Calm if your attacks are only special based, or Sassy/Relaxed for the slow U-Turn or physical coverage move.

Nov 22, 2021 · Yes that’s what i am doing and i have the marking app. Mesprit just doesn’t show up when I’m in grass. I am literally on the same location on the map as it and i don’t encounter any Pokémon it swear it’s bugged

Dec 11, 2021 · But after you defeat the Elite 4/Cynthia, Mesprit respawns in the wild again - not in the cave. Also its stats appear to be rerolled by defeating Cynthia, not when you first encounter it again. So to try to shiny hunt Mesprit, you would have to continue re-defeating the Elite 4/Cynthia and checking afterwards.

Dec 29, 2021 · Get a haunter with mean look and a female kirlia then breed until you get a male ralts with mean look. Level it up so you end up with a gallade that knows hypnosis, mean look, false swipe and taunt. Then, when mesprit appears, use mean look straight away, then use false swipe until it has 1hp. Put it to sleep then throw your balls!
