May 27, 2020 · Unique depiction of Merfolk I find it interesting and very unique (for better or worse) that in the One Piece verse, merfolk in general have an ancestral desire to live on land, but what is preventing them isnt the inability to breathe out of water, nor the fact that they cant walk on land, but human prejudice.

Jul 21, 2021 · At one time, fishmen and merfolk were considered fish and having no human rights. Although things have changed, the people of Sabaody Archipelago still have a dislike for Fishmen. However, the prejudice does not seem to be universal.

Sep 29, 2021 · I was re watching One Piece recently, as one does, and something Kokoro said kind of piqued my interest. She mentioned that mermaid's tail's split into two legs when they turn 30. I was thinking this has to be some sort of evolutionary thing right? Sort of implying that they were meant to eventually go to the surface and explore all along.
