I am going to try the hotter plug and see what happens, Stay with the 50 : 1 mixture and always use a quality TCW-3. Any less oil only accelerates engine wear, shortening its life.

On the flusher device, at idle the thermostats may not open, and you will not have a telltale. If the thermostats open and close due to low speed and cold water, you will see spurts in the telltale.

Nov 18, 2010 · Re: 1993 Mercury 150 XRi You can convert inch pounds to foot pounds mathmatically. 12 inch-pounds = 1 ft pound. You might also rebuild the poppit valve, while you are at it. It is low on the block on the starboard side. Removing the lower starboard cowl will expose it.

We hooked up the dva meter and we would get low to high surges on all 6 cylinders we tested ranging from 140V and spiking to 200V as the motor revved up and down while holding the lever almost at full throttle.
