In 2020, MERF received a grant from the Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama to fund enhancements to its quarter mile walking track and the surrounding area. Visit the track and enjoy the art installation fence of over 400 pickets individually painted by area residents and visitors.

Today Mentone is home to a number of potters, painters, carvers, quilters, weavers, and other artists. We know that art drives economic development, but it also creates a climate of creativity that makes communities like Mentone fun places to live or to visit.

Mentone has several restaurants with more in development. Find everything from fine dining to grab-and-go deli meals. Call to check hours at specific restaurants, as hours of operation vary seasonally.

Camp, hike, cycle, golf, fish - the natural beauty of the Mentone area will make it all that much more enjoyable. If the mountain gets a winter cold snap, you might even be able to ski! So get out and go.
