Recently, we have published a novel technique [Svitova & Lin, OVS, 2010] to create thick tear lipid films at the air-aqueous interface and then to investigate the interfacial properties of these multilayered films under dynamic conditions that mimic human eye conditions more realistically.

Professor Lin provides direct and personalized care to patients who suffer from dry eye symptoms. With more than two decades of clinical research and patient-care experience, Dr. Lin has extensive knowledge to manage the most challenging dry eye cases.

Meng Lin is the Director of UC Berkeley Clinical Research Center, Co-Chief of the Dry Eye Clinic, and Chief of the Ocular Surface Imaging Clinic.

My research aims to answer key ecosystem questions: How do climate change and human activities affect terrestrial ecosystems? I study the response of plants to climate changes and human activities such as urbanization and deforestation.

Lin is now a Professor in the School of Optometry and Vision Science Graduate Program at UC Berkeley. She is the founding and current Director of the Clinical Research Center. She is also the co-founder and co-Chief of the Dry Eye Clinic in the Meredith Morgan Eye Center.
