Jun 2, 2020 · I borrowed a friends RAM replaced it with mine and ran Memtest86 again, no errors this time. I then loaded into windows and did some of the things that would cause it to crash before, no blue screens. This pretty much solidified the fact that it was the RAM for me.

Aug 8, 2019 · Memtest86 checks strictly RAM hardware in detail, while the other ones checks for RAM interaction with rest of system including memory handling in OS. You can have perfectly good RAM as attested by memtest86 but it doesn't check for IMC (Internal Memory Controller) which is in CPU, module compatibility with BIOS or between 2 or more modules.
