What happened to GP7u WAER 344? - Trainorders.com
Santa Fe GP7 2778 became GP7u 2203. It made it's way to the east as IHRC 344 and finally WAER 344. The IHRC/WAER 345 ended up as MAW 4. What happened to WAER 344? I guess it was scrapped shortly after the year 2000? I kit bashed (P2K GP7 with hoods and cab from a brass model) a model of it but find no traces of the last years of the prototype.

Apr 5, 2018 · This rebuilt EMD GP7u engine is registered to the Maumee and Western Railroad Corporation, but is sitting on tracks I believe are owned by the C&NC Railroad (Connersville and New Castle Railroad ). Perhaps C&NC is leasing it or now owns it outright.

The SW8 detaches from the GP7u and the GP38-2 and gets parked closer to the shops while MAW 4 and CNUR 20 stay put on the main closer to the yard office. And just like that the chase is done. Ive done a lot of fun trips, but this had to have been one of the most fun.
