Weavile can pull double duty dark/ice but is not the best at either, it is top 5 for both but if you have Giratina-O or Gengars then Weavile is slightly less useful. You would also need to swap moves on the Weavile when you want to switch the use for it.

On the other hand, Mamoswine has higher base Attack, meaning its choice-banded Ice Shard packs more of a punch if they both have a +Spd nature, which Weavile always has, and is easier to switch...

Mamoswine will be better than Weavile because of It’s Bulk. Weavile is still good, it’s just that Mamoswine has the right moves and a lot more of bulk. It doesn't, Weavile has a 243 base attack compared to Mamoswine's 247, 25480 base Def x Sta compared to 34540 bulk for Mamoswine.
