as an LOK defender I have to say that besides season 2's dark avatar stuff, Mako was the part of the show I liked the least. The first half of the show he was insufferable and the second half he still never got a satisfying arc and was just kinda there it's a real shame, Mako deserves a better character named after him

Mako is bland, I don't see a lot of depth to him but, he has a 'voice' even if its a fairly stock 'from the wrong side of the tracks' one.

The claim that "he never made the first move" does not matter - he still cheated emotionally and physically. Portraying Mako as an innocent victim gets the situation completely backwards in an inexcusable way.

Feb 26, 2019 · When Korra kisses Mako for the first time, Mako realizes that this was a huge mistake. He made his brother really, really sad probably for the first time in his life. He also realizes that he is cheating on Asami. But in a way, the fiery attitude of Korra fits Mako more than Asami does.

Then he's shunted off to the side and assigned a B plot in season 4. Mako also doesn't really grow, he's a stoic badass in the beginning and a stoic badass in the end. All in all Mako is a generic, static character involved primarily in irrelevant B plots where he assumes a fairly unsympathetic role.

Mako sorta loves being a role model and a good influence and Wu is too ball numbingly innocent and silly to ever betray Mako. I would have turned half the flashback episode in book four to Mako saving Wu from an evil fiance.

Jul 11, 2020 · I did pixel calculations and came to the conclusion that Mako is 183 m, while Bolin is described as short and stocky even though in all the scenes he is about 173 m (a man considered short is 166 m and under) while Asami has jumps about 5' 10-5' 11 but without them she is about 175 m and Korra is approximately 5' 2.1 tall which is considered quite shorty.
