My build is more straightforward with dwarves and dragons and less equipment and artifact synergies, but with nexus and Magda out, any creature you tap/attack with generates treasure. You can also use it to continually make “dwarves” the send into battle and give you more treasure.

Feb 5, 2023 · Magda does have flexibility and can be built in a variety of different ways. But…Magda’s a tutor and tutors will always steer you towards repetitive plays. It depends a lot on your pod and how sweaty you want to play. If you want the win, expect to search for the same handful of cards regularly the better you learn your deck.

The ability to ramp and tutor for cards makes Magda an incredibly versatile and powerful mono-red commander. This deck can go for a very aggressive beat-down game-plan with the options of following some combo lines if it finds itself in the late game.

Honestly, in the first turns the Magda player has a massive target on his back especially in mid-range/control heavy pods. Either you win super fast, or you will take the backseat and be passive the rest of the game once cursed totem, Karn and the likes drop. All in all, Magda can be extremely explosive and is a clear threat in the early game.

Feb 24, 2021 · the best card in the game against magda is shock/frostbite, without magda that deck is just a bad mono red deck, and you should be more than able to deal with the seven dwarves and the t5 dragons. they're still good against most green decks tagging mana dorks, lotus cobra, scooze, finishing off pwalkers, hits valki tldr more people play shock.

[[Magda, Brazen Outlaw]] plus a metric ton of Changelings makes for one of the most bizarre yet resilient decks I've piloted in some time, and hopefully it'll capture your heart like it has mine. [[Realmbreaker, the Invasion Tree]] combos with maskwood nexus and Magda can search out both. It is a little bit costly mana wise but obviously extremely powerful and fun to play your entire decks worth of creatures in one go. I run them in a [[Jaheira]] deck where I can tap the treasures for mana before I sac them to Magda.
