This is a list of retired buses once operated by subsidiaries of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Original owners of all units are listed below. NYCTA buses acquired in 1950-1959. NYCTA and MaBSTOA buses acquired in 1960-1969. 10 buses were sold to MSBA in the mid 70s. 1059 is preserved by the New York Transit Museum.

These RTS are the best order of RTS for NovaBus. These buses are in great condition and only a few retired due to a few incidents. Like other orders, they were originally ordered and built for MTA New York City Transit, but since early 2015, many were transferred to MTA Bus Company.
