Dec 4, 2020 · I'm checking also the "MSI Live Update" for some updates (nothing) and for the new Nvidia drivers (now I have 465.89v). Also, Nvidia support info is "If you have a custom partner card, get the update tool from their site". On official MSI site, in downloads for 3080 Trio is a fresh update for VBIOS, but not for Suprim X.

Aug 23, 2019 · But personally I wouldn't recommend it because the VRM on 3080/3090 Gaming X are pretty weak (only 650amp 13 phase & 630amp 14 phase, Suprim = 850amp), and also the maximum power limit on 3090 Gaming X is only 385W.

2145 MHz is the highest I got while still being stable in 3DMark on Port Royal with an average around 1970 MHz. That was with a +100 clock (+300 memory). Score was 11,766. MSI Ventus 3080. IMO it’s totally unnecessary to overclock these cards. You’re already at the ceiling in almost any game out of the box.

Oct 11, 2020 · The 3080 Gaming X Trio this gen doesn’t seem like an overclocker’s dream card this. The stock Power Limit (340 W) actually is not bad compared to other models - same as TUF OC and higher than FE. But you are correct, the manual PL maximum (350 W) is not what you would necesssarily expect from a top of the line model.
