Also I like the ease of making arrangments and changes in Ableton's session view, and quickly transforming a bunch of different sequences and clips into a full song.

At least in this case.

Jun 18, 2014 · While I loved my 2000XL, when I rebought an MPC I went for the 2500 - every bit as good, sounds great, and with Compact Flash and USB I can easily dump samples from my computer onto it without thinking about CF-mods, floppies, SCSI and other 90s-era headaches.

Apr 6, 2007 · regarding 2000XL vs. 3000 - truth be told (my opinion and I've owned both) there's not a big difference - I do believe however, that you'll find the 2000XL way easier to work on. The learning curve of the 3000 is steeper - not because it have more features (wich it don't) but because it's doing everything the oldschool way.

Sep 18, 2011 · MPC 2000XL is great as a dedicated drum machine. Chopping drum breaks is seamless, the wave comes out thick so it's real easy to create hats and percussion parts. The drum sounds are flawless..gritty and full.
