The Heckler & Koch MP5 (German: Maschinenpistole 5, lit. ' Submachine gun 5 ') is a submachine gun developed in the 1960s by German firearms manufacturer Heckler & Koch.

The MP5 is primarily aimed at police units and first response forces engaging area targets. Easy to handle, easy to control and uncompromisingly precise in an emergency. The MP5 SD, on the other hand, fulfils the weaponry requirements of specialised forces and selected special units.

The Heckler & Koch MP5 MLI (Mid Life Improvement) is an upgraded version of MP5 revealed in late 2013. It is fitted with a tri-rail foregrip, a quick-release-optic mount, an MP5F stock standard, and now comes in the new RAL8000 (Yellow-Brown) color scheme.

A suppressed Heckler & Koch MP5 is commonly available as a starting weapon. Sep 17, 2011 · My understanding is any 147gr is fine in any MP5 including the SD, except in an SD the 147gr its energy is greatly diminished due to the porting designed to slow the 124gr supersonic bullet. In my MP5N all 147gr types, round nose and hollow points work fine for me.

Aug 19, 2008 · MP5 is the hands down winner in semi. The long travel of the heavy open Uzi bolt can be distracting in semi. The MP5 is definitely the more usable gun, but just for full auto blasting, the Uzi is at least as controllable for me.

Mar 10, 2017 · I was told the IMI ammo was designed for UZIs and would lead to roller marks on my MP5 clone receiver. I have tried the 158gr PRVI though and it is extremely quiet. I routinely shoot 147gr from everyone who makes it and have no issues.
