MMP Group was founded in the year 2000 by a visionary Indian entrepreneur Mr. Magan M Patel with the group’s first manufacturing facility to produce edible oils in Jinja, Uganda which is known as Nile Agro Industries Limited.

We have been at the forefront of the manufacture of supplies for the insatiable construction industry in Uganda, produced by MMP Steel and NEWTECH Industries.

Since MMP Group is the Second largest sugar producer of the country; we also produce about 2.00 million metric tonnes of Sugar Bagasse every year as our bi – product or Agro waste. MMP Group through our company Nile Plastics; produce more than 200 high quality domestically consumed plastic household items such as tables, chairs, cups, plates etc. in many colours and designs for the household of Uganda.

As an effort of such development; MMP Group has ventured into two major real estate projects namely MMP Industrial Park and MMP Mall. Apart from this; MMP Group has also ventured in a hospitality project in which we are bringing the first Five Star hotel in Jinja Town.

With the technical upgradation in agriculture; the need for good quality Agro chemical manufacturing has always been there. MMP Group has recently put up a large-scale manufacturing set up for producing high quality Pesticides, Herbicides & Insecticides.

With the launch our first tyre manufacturing unit itself; MMP Group has become the largest producers of nylon tyres and tubes in Uganda with the installed capacity to produce more than 1.80 million tyres and 3.60 million tubes per annum.

We as MMP group are the 2nd Largest Sugar Producer in Uganda with the combined total annual production of over 500,000.00 metric tonnes of Sugar through our three main sugar manufacturing units namely Mayuge Sugar, Kamuli Sugar and GM Sugar.

Metal is the second largest domain served by MMP Group which includes the processing or converting of Steel, Aluminium and Copper.

We understand the same and work tirelessly to empower and upgrade the healthcare sector of Uganda in any manner we can. Through few of it’s manufacturing units; MMP Group works in many segments of Healthcare domain namely Surgical products, Pharmaceutical products and personal care products.
