Jul 12, 2020 · Generation 3.5 or G3.5 is the term for ponies made in the swan song of G3. They are known as G3.5 because they are the same characters as G3, but Hasbro gave the ponies a heavy style makeover so drastic that many collectors consider them a whole new generation.

But when G3 went from G3.5, literally everything about it changed. Character designs got swapped around, the artstyle overall got a revamp and the main cast got changed. None of that has happened with the G4 logo going from pink to purple colours. G4 (new)….maybe call it G4.5 instead? I wonder what G5 would look like.
