Role of Interleukin 10 Transcriptional Regulation in Inflammation …
In this review, we discuss modes of regulation of IL-10 gene expression in immune effector cell types, including signal transduction, epigenetics, promoter architecture, and post-transcriptional regulation, and how aberrant regulation contributes to immunopathology and disease progression.
MAPKAP kinase 2 regulates IL-10 expression and prevents ... - PubMed
The data suggest that MK2 is critical for regulating cytokine responses towards acute MCMV infection, including that of IL-10 via IFNARI-mediated circuits. MCMV stimulates expression of MK2-dependent cytokines, in particular IL-10 and thereby prevents enhanced formation of intrahepatic iMATE-like ce …
IL-10 Pathway | Thermo Fisher Scientific - US
IL-10 is a potent inducer of HO1 (Heme Oxygenase-1) in murine primary macrophages and the J774 cell line. The induction of HO1 occurs at transcriptional level, and is mediated via a p38 MAP-kinase–dependent pathway.
Interleukin‐10 targets p38 MAPK to modulate ARE ... - The EMBO …
Inhibition of TNF translation by IL‐10 is exerted mainly by inhibition of the activating p38/MAPK‐activated protein kinase‐2 pathway. These results demonstrate a physiologically significant cross‐talk between the IL‐10 receptor and the stress‐activated protein kinase modules targeting TNF mRNA translation.
MAPKAP kinase 2 regulates IL-10 expression and prevents …
Feb 1, 2016 · MK2 is critical for MCMV-induced production of IL-10, IFN-α2 and 4, IFN-β, IL-6, and TNF-α but not for IFN-γ. The MCMV-induced IL-10 production requires activation of IFNAR1 and is further regulated by MK2 and TTP-dependent stabilization of IL-10 transcripts.
Conclusions:The data suggest that MK2 is critical for regulating cytokine responses towards acute MCMV infection, including that of IL-10 via IFNARI-mediated circuits. MCMV stimulates expres-sion of MK2-dependent cytokines, in particular IL-10 and thereby prevents enhanced formation of intrahepatic iMATE-like cellular aggregates.
Umifenovir Epigenetically Targets the IL-10 Pathway in Therapy …
Dec 21, 2022 · The IL-10 gene locus is located 36 kb upstream of the MK2 (MAPK-activated protein kinase 2 [MAPKAPK2]) gene, which is a critical component of the p38-MAPK signaling pathway (Fig. 5A). MK2 is required for IL-10 production and is …
Mal Mediates TLR-Induced Activation of CREB and Expression of IL-10
Apr 15, 2011 · MAPK-activated protein kinase 2 (MK2), a substrate for p38 MAPK, is the likely downstream mediator of p38 MAPK in this pathway, because Mal is shown to activate MK2 and inhibition of MK2 decreases TLR4-induced activation of CREB.
Biology of interleukin-10 - ScienceDirect
Oct 1, 2010 · Interleukin (IL)-10 is the most important cytokine with anti-inflammatory properties besides TGF-β and IL-35. It is produced by activated immune cells, in particular monocytes/macrophages and T cell subsets including Tr1, Treg, and Th1 cells.

Aug 31, 2006 · We began by resequencing 48 European and 48 African chromosomes across 2.2 kb of the IL10 promoter region, and compared this with four neighbouring gene regions: MK2, IL19, IL20 and IL24.
