Dabi (荼 だ 毘 び Dabi?), real name Toya Todoroki (轟 とどろき 燈 とう 矢 や Todoroki Tōya?), is one of the main antagonists in the My Hero Academia manga and anime series. He was the eldest son of the Pro Hero Endeavor, driven insane due to his neglectful and selfish actions, and becoming a villain to enact revenge.

Dabi (in Japanese: 荼毘, translated as Cremation), also known as Blueflame (in Japanese:蒼炎 Sōen), is the secondary antagonist of the My Hero Academia franchise. He is the archenemy of Shoto Todoroki and Endeavor.

My own personal theory is that Dabi burning away his body is his "quirk awakening" and that his true quirk is a literal embodiment of flames or to put it better a entity of blue fire.

May 28, 2023 · Dabi has gradually burned himself into bones and charred muscle fibers with no arm throughout the entire arc. Like if you wanted him to not die, idk why you wouldn’t just have that happen, turning him into a flaming skeleton is a little much if you expect him to survive.

In all seriousness, he basically copied Shoto's skill albeit using his flames rather than ice included. Quick trivia: It also seems to be damaging his body even further. I can see his skeleton on his right hand. Dabi gonna be looking like Colossal Titan by the next chapter. He's two steps away from a ghost rider cosplay lol.

2 days ago · Yes, Dabi is dead now that the manga has completed its run. Dabi becomes somewhat of a living corpse after his final battle in My Hero Academia. He was kept alive with the help of a life support machine, and he could only speak for a couple of minutes every day.

Oct 17, 2024 · After a grueling battle that left all of them severely injured, the Todoroki Family managed to defeat Dabi and freeze his blue flames in chapter 390. Toya miraculously survived his suicidal attempt to kill Endeavor and Shoto, as revealed later in chapter 426.
