MCF 10A - CRL-10317 - ATCC
MCF 10A was derived from adherent cells in the population. The MCF 10A cell line is a non-tumorigenic epithelial cell line. The cells are positive for epithelial sialomucins, cytokeratins and milk fat globule antigen. They exhibit three dimensional growth in collagen, and form domes in confluent cultures.
Evaluation of MCF10A as a Reliable Model for Normal Human …
MCF10A cells exhibit a unique differentiated phenotype in 3D culture which may not exist or be rare in normal human breast tissue. Our results raise a question as to whether the commonly used MCF10A cell line is a suitable model for human mammary cell studies.
The MCF10 Model of Breast Tumor Progression | Cancer Research ...
Aug 15, 2021 · Because of the establishment of MCF10, the use of its most well-known parental line, MCF10A, has allowed breast cancer researchers to model key aspects of normal and aberrant breast epithelial biology.
MCF10A Cell Line: Unraveling Breast Cancer Biology in Non
MCF10A cells are instrumental in vitro for elucidating the intricacies of normal mammary epithelial cell functions, encompassing cell-cell adhesion mediated by proteins like E-cadherin, morphogenetic processes, and intricate signaling cascades.
Evaluation of MCF10A as a Reliable Model for Normal Human
Jul 6, 2015 · MCF10A cells exhibit a unique differentiated phenotype in 3D culture which may not exist or be rare in normal human breast tissue. Our results raise a question as to whether the commonly used MCF10A cell line is a suitable model for human mammary cell studies.
Using the MCF10A/MCF10CA1a Breast Cancer Progression Cell …
MCF10A is a spontaneously immortalized, non-malignant breast cell line obtained from a patient with benign fibrocystic disease and is the founder cell line of a progressively more aggressive family of breast cancer lines.
A multi-omic analysis of MCF10A cells provides a resource for
Oct 7, 2022 · Comprehensive profiling of ligand-induced perturbation responses of the MCF10A mammary epithelial cell line provides an exhaustive resource for identification of the molecular basis of cellular...
Cellosaurus cell line MCF-10A (CVCL_0598)
Immortal human mammary epithelial cell lines. Identification of microsatellite instability and mismatch repair gene mutations in breast cancer cell lines.
MCF-10A cells are commonly recognized as a ‘‘normal’’ breast epithelial cell line, the karyotype is stable and near-diploid, these cells are nonetheless cytogenetically abnormal. These cells harbor a deletion of the locus containing p16 and p14ARF, as well as amplification of MYC. Notably, MCF-10A cells express wild-type p53.
Normal breast epithelial MCF-10A cells to evaluate the safety of …
The human normal breast cell line MCF-10A is being widely used as a model in toxicity studies due to its structural similarity to the normal human mammary epithelium.
