MCF 10A - CRL-10317 | ATCC
MCF 10A was derived from adherent cells in the population. The MCF 10A cell line is a non-tumorigenic epithelial cell line. The cells are positive for epithelial sialomucins, cytokeratins and milk fat globule antigen. They exhibit three dimensional growth in collagen, and form domes in confluent cultures.
The MCF10 Model of Breast Tumor Progression | Cancer Research ...
Aug 15, 2021 · MCF10 cell lines have been widely used to model central aspects of breast malignancy. In this commentary, we review three major research areas that MCF10 cell lines have enabled: 3D culture systems, genetic engineering studies, and the subline progression series.
Differential Expression of Key Signaling Proteins in MCF10 Cell …
The MCF10 cell series is a unique model of breast cancer progression. In this review, we summarize and discuss the key changes that occur in signaling pathways during MCF10 cancer progression using microarray gene profiling and proteomic data.
Evaluation of MCF10A as a Reliable Model for Normal Human …
MCF10A cells exhibit a unique differentiated phenotype in 3D culture which may not exist or be rare in normal human breast tissue. Our results raise a question as to whether the commonly used MCF10A cell line is a suitable model for human mammary cell studies.
Using the MCF10A/MCF10CA1a Breast Cancer Progression Cell …
We used the MCF10A and MCF10CA1a cell lines to assess the role of the common E746-A750 deletion (EGFR-DEL) mutation, and the less oncogenic EGFR G719S missense mutation, in promoting oncogenesis and gefitinib resistance in breast cells.
MCF cell lines that transformed breast cancer research
MCF10AT is the only available human model that has been shown to exhibit the histologic stigmata identified in women who are at high risk for developing breast cancer. By clonal selection of MCF10AT cells, the MCF10DCIS.com cell line was isolated.
MCF 10A Ecadherin EmGFP - CRL-10317EMT | ATCC
Here, we created an ECAD-EmGFP reporter cell line (ATCC CRL-10317EMT) using the CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing platform and the parental MCF 10A (ATCC CRL-10317). The created CRL-10317EMT cell line harbors a C-terminal green …
The MCF10 Model of Breast Tumor Progression - PubMed
Aug 15, 2021 · Here we review the development of the MCF10 parental and subsequent sublines and highlight a few of the major contributions of MCF10 model systems to breast cancer research.
MCF10AT: a model for the evolution of cancer from ... - PubMed
MCF10A cells do not survive in vivo in immunodeficient mice. However, T24 c-Ha-ras oncogene-transfected MCF10A cells (MCF10AT) form small nodules in nude/beige mice that persist for at least 1 year and sporadically progress to carcinomas.
MCF10A Cell Line: Unraveling Breast Cancer Biology in Non
MCF10A, a widely utilized cell line in breast cancer research, necessitates precise handling and maintenance to ensure its viability and utility in experimental settings.
