This listing is for World war II US Army M74 round. The shell case has a nice aged patina to it and the copper driving band of the projectile is unused. The shell case is headstamped "37MM M16 LOT 1-1300-7 SMC 1941".

Mar 15, 2023 · M74 is AP-T. Amor pirceing tracer. Likely this was used with the 37mm M3 anti-tank gun. Sounds about right, from what I've done in my research, the M3 was very short lived in Europe, but had a bigger presence in the Pacific theater?

This M74 Shot is similar to the AP M80 Shot used in the 37mm Antiaircraft Gun M1A2. The complete rounds differ in respect to cartridge cases and propelling charges.
