Fuel capacity was increased to 930 liters (204 gallons) and range to 750 km (468 miles). 17 tanks were cannibalized in 1997 to keep the remaining 36 tanks running. The M41 DK1 was demobbed in 1998 - 1999.

The M41 Walker Bulldog, officially 76-mm gun tank M41, was an American light tank developed for armed reconnaissance purposes.
