Nov 9, 2020 · You just feel like you're holding a badass weapon in your hands with an M16 and it does look a bit more intimidating than a M4. I'd give my A4gery a slight edge in accuracy compared to M4gery, 1 moa vs about 1.5 moa, both with acog scopes but not enough difference to really matter. Both are accurate.
M16 vs M4 - AR15.COM
Feb 6, 2008 · The M4 Carbine is M4 and M4A1. The advantages to the M4 vs. M16 is that its shorter and adjustable so it fits a wider variety of soldiers, is easier to shoot with, and is better for urban warfare. The M16's advantages is that the bullet travels a bit faster so it has more knockdown force, and the iron sights allow for more accurate shooting.

Dec 13, 2010 · The TDP calls for the M16 and M4 to either be fully auto or 3-round burst, depending on which version of the TDP is used. The M4 and M16 have always been machine guns, and always will. If the military needs a non-auto weapon, it will have a new M designation. Pointing out that other "M"-designated rifles are not full-auto is meaningless.
Rifle vs m4 feed ramps > Rifles, Uppers, Lowers, Barrels, and more ...
Nov 22, 2013 · IMHO, there would probably be too many variables to determine anything conclusive, the 20" M16A4 configuration has been tested to be more reliable already than the M4 Carbine, though IMHO, the difference is beyond the point of diminishing returns, but the Marine Corps does not appear to agree, at least, reliability is their official reason for continuing to use the M16A4 over the M4.
M16A2/M4 Vs G36. > AR Discussions > AR15.COM
Nov 14, 2007 · M16A2/M4 Vs G36. I've heard them mentioned in passing comparison. It was said the G36 had some quirks or draw backs. Yet it seems that the G36 seems to have been adopted by more counties in the last 15 years then any other newer design. I know it's action is more of less a copy of the AR-18 with a plastic receiver housing.
Is the M4 feed ramp the standard now? > AR Discussions
Jun 24, 2016 · The military still specifies no feedramp uppers and a rifle barrel extension for the M16 series, while the M4 variants get the feedramp uppers and a carbine barrel extension. Civvies can and do build what they want, regardless of the military specifications for rifle vs carbine uppers and barrel extensions.
USGI issued "silent slings" for M4 and M16? - AR15.COM
Apr 23, 2020 · NSN: 1005-01-368-9852 (M4 Carbine) 74" long All slings come in a cheap plastic bag with black metal non steel buckles. I do not know if the shorter sling is still being issued new as I have not seen a A2 or A4 rifle in about 3 years as we only get M4 carbines. Each M4 ships with a sling, 7 magazines, TM and GI cleaning kit.
M4 vs. M16A4 - AR15.COM
May 10, 2011 · The M16 will have greater velocity (and all the advantages that come with that) longer sight radius, a bit softer shooting, and be heavier. The M4 has a shorter barrel, less velocity, easier to get in and out of places with, and a bit lighter. That said, just get whichever you prefer. I prefer the M16A4 myself. Someday I might change.

Feb 13, 2019 · The 20" m16's used standard feed, but when the military shortened the barrel and went to carbine length the m4 cuts were adopted to counter reliability issues with going to a shorter gas system? If you don't have a carbon length rifle that is also full auto then m4 ramps do more harm then good. The "CHART" that floated around in the mid 2000's
