I have a rebuilt early style tranny in the shop and have just brought in a new style for rebuilding. I'll measure them both on the pto opening as I am now curious.

Nov 8, 2007 · There is no difference between late and early PTO. The parts manuals state fitment to M37 ww and M37B1 ww. PTO is only different for Acme Trans on CDN truck. (And worth it's weight in silver ) Housing and gear part numbers are the same 1954 and 1972.

Jul 25, 2009 · The oil seals on my 51 M37 PTO are leaking badly. The PTO unit is the original DH-12530 that was standard on the vehicle. Has anyone had to change these and if so any tips?

Mar 3, 2018 · I was told the pto for the m37 is different from 1950 to 1956 any body know's if the other years fit trying to buy one for my 1954 or if somebody has one for sale foe a 1954 m37.
