Mar 13, 2025 · I plan on putting it on one of my A1's. What carry handle mount would be most "correct" for a DMR build? I guess I'm not cloning any particular set up but just wondering what works and has the right retro vibe

Dec 4, 2020 · The M16A1 front sight base was removed and replaced with a DPMS gas block. The barrel was changed to a DPMS Ultra Match barrel with a 1 in 8" RH twist, and the M16A1 stock and pistol grip were replaced with A2 versions.

Later M16 models and the M16A1 had an improved rifling with six grooves, right-hand twist, one turn in 12 inches (1:304.8 mm or 54.8 calibers) for increased accuracy and was optimized to adequately stabilize the M193 ball and M196 tracer bullets.

Mar 13, 2025 · Went down the RC39X40 rabbit hole. The actual Delta HBAR scope has a different mount that is unobtanium. The rings for these scopes have a groove set into them for the rubber and are a one-of-a-kind item. The Tasco variant of this scope is one of five similar models.
