Mar 2, 2017 · Did exactly what you are thinking: I mounted an MRO with a low mount on an SHG from M14.ca. First it does not cowitness, but it comes somewhat close. Enough that a modified cheek weld works.

Dec 8, 2018 · I have an M1A Scout, and I'm looking to throw on a spare Trijicon MRO. Should I go with the M14.CA SHG with a low mount for the MRO? I want a decent cheek weld(not chin).

Apr 29, 2024 · Instead of the rear sight space CASM-RD mount, I opted for a Stripper Clip Sight Mount from SAGE, and mounted my MRO (by FAR my favorite Red Dot and totally superior to the Aimpoint units IMHO) using a Scalarworks Lower 1/3 QD mount. It may not look like it, but this is a ROCK SOLID stable setup.
