Nov 6, 2023 · The M11-A1 (P229) deserves all the love it has received. My opinion is it's one of the best law enforcement handguns. For me, the P229 in .40 S&W was the best handgun I carried on duty and I carried more than a few. I always knew I'd own a P229 in 9MM.

Jun 29, 2015 · SIG Sauer M11-A1 ? The Venerable P228 Design has been Improved! So "literally" the M11 is a rebadged P228 that was sold to the military. "Essentially" the M11-A1 is a P229 (which is the spit image of the P228 except for beefier internals) in 9mm, but it has enough changes that the military saw fit to add "A1" to it.

Jun 26, 2019 · IMO, Mk25 & M11-A1 are very different - Both are fine pistols. M11 design's smaller dimensions, clean chin and 15+1 9mm capacity are perfect for CCW. Mk25's pic rail frame provides mounting accessories like light & lazer for service or home defense duties. The slide can be setup for 9mm, 40sw and 357sig.
