There are five key User Roles we can define and think about here today and in later posts, we can look more deeply at identifying and onboarding to fill the positions and of course, getting each group up to speed to develop skills necessary for their role. The M-Files user, who, at the server level, can be either a regular user or a system administrator. Users can be added to the desired document vaults, and a user's document vault administration permissions depend on the document-vault-level roles assigned to the user.

To add access, specify their user role: Go to Users > Internal users. Select a user. Result: The User information page is opened. In User Role in M-Files Manage, select the role. If you are an access admin, you can only select No role or Access admin.

Under the Users node of a vault in M-Files Admin, you can add users to the vault, thus assigning a name to the user and specifying the user's permissions. Each user object is based on a server login account (see Login Accounts ).
