The (c)/G stamp is found from the earliest Weimar-associated pistols until well into the late 1920s. Police P08s were sourced through the army until the Berlin police armory took over that function.
Considering this G Date Luger - Confusing Markings/Etc
Dec 15, 2022 · Plus I'm not an expert on luger markings. It's looks to be a G Date (Possible Police) Luger with a sear safety installed, but there appear to be Simson Eagle/6 markings on the barrel and side plate. Also, there is a notch on the top which looks like something from a Artillery Luger extension so a artillery sight would fit.

May 23, 2010 · In my opinion, this pistol left the Mauser Factory as a 42 dated byf code Luger, serial numbered in the “g” suffix block. All its markings support this. At some point the middle toggle byf link (damaged or mismatched) was exchanged for a banner link; probably by the Importer or by a mechanic in the United States.

Feb 19, 2018 · If the grips are bakelite (and there are lots of good fake ones out there), if they are real, you have to figure that a 1935 luger had been in service until wars end. So, the bakelite were replacement grips since about 1941, so could have been replacements.
