Long Draw Campground is situated near Long Draw Reservoir. Long Draw has 25 sites including three double sites. Each site has a picnic table and fire grate. Popular activities in the area include reservoir and stream fishing and hiking. View a campground map.

The trail follows existing forest service level 2, 3, and 4 roads and offers some challenges to riders along the FR 213 section of the route. The Long Draw Trail is generally open all seasons, however, routes may be closed due to winter snow, or high fire danger.

The highest campground at 10,220', this tents only campground has been found, as it sits adjacent to the Long Draw Reservoir with stunning view of the nearby high altitude peaks in the Neota and Comanche Peaks Wilderness areas and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Access La Poudre Pass trail, which leads south into Rocky Mountain National Park the end of the Long Draw Road. The Neota Trail, also accessed from this trailhead, follows a small stream north into Roosevelt National Forest's Neota Wilderness.

This winter-only trail offers a unique connection between the Zimmerman Lake Trail and the Long Draw Road. If you travel it one way a vehicle shuttle will need to be arranged in advance. Pick up the Meadows Trail on the northwest side of the Zimmerman Lake Loop. The trail soon begins to drop through dense forest and scenic meadows.

Turn left on CO 14, and travel 54 miles west to Forest Road #156, Long Draw Road, located across the highway from the Blue Lake trailhead parking lot. Travel 3½ miles, and look for road to the Trap Lake trailhead parking lot on the right.

(Aug. 3, 2023) – Long Draw Road, located near the top of Poudre Canyon, will be temporarily closed past the Corral Creek Trailhead beginning Monday, Aug. 7, due to the construction of a bypass road for the installation of a culvert. Saturday, Aug. 5 will be the last night to camp at Grandview or Long Draw campgrounds.
