Jun 26, 2024 · Upon the completion of a 20-year lease agreement, Birdworks LLC, a subsidiary of Cardinal Construction, has gifted Löhe Hall to Wartburg College. The 168-bed residence hall was built by Cardinal Construction and opened in 2004.

For the remainder of a student’s time at Wartburg they may live in a service-based suite in the Residence, a learning-based suite in Löhe, share a 4, 6 or 8 person suite in Grossmann or Lohe, be part of a unique, smaller community in the Waverly or Afton Manors or Founders Hall.

The Wartburg-Waverly Wellness Center, also referred to as “The W” was developed out of a unique college-community partnership between the City of Waverly, Iowa and Wartburg College. The facility serves both the College as well as residents of the City. The “W” includes:

Each residence hall provides study lounges, recreation areas with cable TV (in common areas only) and vending machines, and laundry rooms. Use of washers and dryers is free.

Wartburg College has partnered with College Products to offer students in Founders, Clinton, Slife, Vollmer, Grossmann, and Lohe halls the option to rent a loft kit. These kits allow students to raise the provided residence hall beds high enough to create additional floor space in their rooms.
