Loft Crag is a fine viewpoint which gives an attractive vista of the fells around Great Langdale. Because the fell juts further out into the valley than the other two Langdale Pikes, it gives a more impressive and full view of the valley.

One of the most iconic walks in Lakeland. The Langdale Pikes are some of the most recognisable peaks in the Lake District. They are rugged, steep and offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Loft Crag is the middle summit of the Langdale Peaks, its fine peak lying between Harrison Stickle and Pike o'Stickle. For rock-climbers it is the finest of the trio, for Gimmer Crag beneath the summit is a popular climbing ground.

2 days ago · This beautiful trail showcases some of the best of the Langdale Pikes. Starting by following the lovely Stickle Ghyll up to Stickle Tarn, the trail then takes you over Thunacar Knot and then out to the summit of Loft Crag, which juts out into Langdale Valley and offers stunning views of the surrounding fells.

Starting at the National Trust car park (fee for non-members), the trail climbs the steep and rough path via Dungeon Ghyll Force to Loft Crag, continuing to Pike of Stickle, Harrison Stickle, Thunacar Knott, and Pavey Ark.
