I'm in California what LoJack was planning was to have a LoJack init that would he activated through a digital signal which would not require a Radio tower for activation.

Pay for something that you can use, or pay for nothing and still get up charged. The salesmen stood his ground because he knows someone will come in and pay for the LoJack if you won’t.

Jul 7, 2023 · LoJack DOES NOT hook into the factory wiring harness, so good luck with that. The 2nd part I would agree, I worked at a store the did pre install back in the day. We weren’t charging 1000 dollars so a lot of people bought it anyways but it was optional.

Dec 31, 2023 · The deal didn’t fall apart because of LoJack it fell apart because the dealer wanted the 12-1300 dollars profit the LoJack represented. FWIW dealers can and do remove these all the time. It’s a choice not to. There is a zero percent chance that device would knowingly be on my car so I would have passed too.

Also, LoJack only works when you have filed a police report and the system is notified. If you park at a mall, overnight, or a movie theater and your car gets jacked, the thieves have a head start, until you come out, can’t find your car, notify police, and it goes in the LoJack notification system. Not worth it in my opinion.
