Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King, is a legendary hero. Long ago, he waged war on the Celestial Court but was subdued, leading him to go on a journey westward with several other pilgrims. He later chose MK to be his successor.

Jan 12, 2018 · Flash-forward to modern-day China, when fate leads MK (aka Monkie Kid), a young noodle shop delivery boy, to find the long-lost staff. Soon, MK and his best friends find themselves entangled in adventures packed full of action, mystery, imagination and magic.

MK gets a call from Monkey King who has accidentally knocked over a "Celestial Dumpling". It's streaking toward Earth and if it hits, everything will be destroyed. Pigsy has replaced the Monkey Mech game with ping pong and gets wildly addicted. MK has to break Pigsy from his addiction in order to save his shop.

MK is the titular main protagonist of the Lego Monkie Kid franchise and its animated series. He's a young delivery boy working in Pigsy's restaurant who one day answers the call of destiny, being chosen as the apprentice and successor of the Monkey King, Sun Wukong.
